THE ORIGINAL message; Truth that you may not know.
Paul the Apostle’s background According to the King James Bible.
Based upon the myriads of confusing messages about the gospel in our digital age, it is of the utmost importance that we should return to the original message of “The Gospel” or how to be saved, forgiven, born again according to the designated Apostle for all non-Jewish people, Saul of Tarsus before he met Jesus the Christ and after he met Jesus he called himself “Paul” an Apostle of Jesus Christ the Lord appointed just for the non-Jewish people of the world.
The Bible calls Paul, Saul according to the Bible. He was a former Pharisee, which meant he followed strict requirements to follow the law of Moses. He rose through the ranks as one of the most zealous Pharisee of all time. He considered killing and imprisoning Christians both men and women a mission from God. He received letters of authority to go into towns and villages and search for those who followed left the law of Moses and believed in the Lord Jesus of Nazareth as Savior and Lord as final payment for sins of the whole world and the law was no longer needed if one’s faith was in Jesus.
However, Saul became Paul after he met the resurrected Jesus on the way to kill more Christians; He said “who are you, Lord, the Lord said, “I am Jesus whom you persecute” all this happened while Saul on the way to Damascus a major city in Syria about 135 miles north of Jerusalem.
Just like that Saul became Paul Apostle of the Lord Jesus for all of us Gentiles; Non-Jewish people everywhere.
Enough is enough! With all the new denomination telling us they have the truth about going to heaven, why do they all seem to disagree? If you do not even care about the issue, but wouldn’t you want to know the truth anyway? What if someday you became interested as to whose right about this subject you would not want to know?
There is a story in the Bible Old Testament that pictures exactly what is going on in our day about the gospel. In 1st Kings 18:21. Israel had turned against the God of Israel to Baal worship. Elijah challenged them all saying to them” …How long halt you between two opinions? If he LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.”
The people accepted the challenge; One Prophet of God Elijah against 450 prophets of Baal. Each offered a sacrifice upon wood but added no fire to it. Each would pray to their God to start the fire and whosever’s God answered would be the true God of Israel.
Four hundred and fifty of Baals prophets cried and prayed all day long, jumping up and down on the altar cutting themselves with knives and lancelets Elijah taunted them saying is “Baal on a journey and forgot to return, has he fallen asleep and needs to be awakened?” but no fire fell down to consume the sacrifice.
Then Elijah prepared his sacrifice to the LORD GOD of Israel, knowing Baal prophets would add a moldering fire source deep within the pile of wood, Elijah ordered to poor barrels of water (during a drought) upon his sacrifice. The he ordered them to do it again a second time and once more a third time so there would be now doubt of trickery or hidden fire in the wood. The water drenched the sacrifice and the wood. The trench dug around the sacrifice was full to the brim with water.
The Elijah prayed; “…Hear me, oh, LORD, hear me, that this people may know that you are the LORD God, and that you have turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench” 1 Kings 18:37, 38.
It is time we challenge all the voices who preach the gospel in the world today according to the gospel that Paul preached to see if we are being told the truth. Which gospel will the fire of the Holy Spirit bless? theirs or Paul’s?
Gospel according to Paul
Do we have the original? Paul answers this question. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
There is no doubt that the Gospel is a grave issue with Paul. He said in Galations 1:8,9 “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I know again, if any man preaches any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed.”
Like Israel in Elijah’s day so the Galatians were also beginning to follow “another gospel.” This is serious business! Do not read this lightly, there is a double curse upon those who pervert the original gospel according to Paul. The term accursed means “anathema” a person set aside by GOD for destruction without hope.
Paul’s original “…I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; … By which also you are saved…For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures; …Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so you believed”
1 Corinthians 15:1,3,4 and 11.
Jesus of Nazareth’s was the Christ prophesied in the Old Testament, his death, burial, and resurrection for our sins, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL GOSPEL. Nothing more and nothing less. To add more would trigger Paul’s anathema curse upon us, take away would also trigger the curse. The original gospel according to Paul is Christ Jesus of Nazareth died for our sins, was buried and rose again according to the scriptures. Not according to feelings, or sight but according to the scriptures, we will only be accountable to what God has written in the Bible. How do we gain the benefits from the Paul’s gospel? Two words, receive; to take to oneself, to join oneself to a message and believe; to give credit to put one’s trust, faith in the message and put one’s spiritual wellbeing to Jesus Christ for his provision for the forgiveness of your sins, past, present and future, once for all forever, for all time.
Love for God because of his love demonstrated to us is our motivation for holy living, not the touch not, taste not, handle not of modern religion.
This love motivation is the beginning of the sanctification process in our lives.
What we used to hate (God) we now love, what we used to love (sin) we now hate. Thus, we shy away daily from what we used to love and embrace what we now love. Out of gratitude and love live for Jesus, not servitude and debt.
Christians who live by debt are living legalistic lives, Christian’s who live out of Love for the Lord are living lives of grace.
Now and forever our sins are gone, taken away, no longer an issue with God, so when someone’s teaching tries to make sins an issue again; this is another gospel this message Paul does not recognize. He, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, says it is an anathema!
This is the original gospel according to Paul. Speak about it wherever you go, do not be led away with other gospels if they do not line up with what you have just read.
How do I believe it?
Whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) shall be saved and shall not come unto condemnation but will have everlasting life. How? Just ask Him!
What do we receive when we believe the Bibles message about the Lord Jesus the Christ?
When we believe Paul’s message about what Jesus did for us, he writes clearly in Romans 4:7,8. What a believing person receives “…Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed in the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.”
Our iniquities are forgiven, (all past sins) our sins are covered (present action of sins) and most importantly “blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sins” This is all and every future sin! Never again do we have an issue of sin debt with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our iniquities are forgiven, (all past sins) our sins are covered (present action of sins) and most importantly “blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sins” This is all and every future sin! Never again do we have an issue of sin debt with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Does this mean we can sin all we want? Of course not, why would you want to do those things of which you are now ashamed? By understanding and knowing the extreme grace of God, we understand he has paid our lifetime of sins debts and now out of love for such amazing grace to us given to us while yet in our sins, we out of love (not debt) for God our daily motivation lives the rest of our lives for him in gratitude to what he has done for us.
